Complete Description:

Provides expert medical care to in-patients under the direction of a supervising physician at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Perform histories and physical exams, prepare admission orders and prepares discharge documents. Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records and provides patient education. Communicate with referring physicians daily on the status of their patients and facilitate transfers from other facilities. Assist utilization management team as needed. Ability to work in crisis situations. Nights, weekends, holiday required. Master's degree or Bachelor's degree; graduate of certified Physician Assistant program. Four years professional hospital-based work experience as a Physician Assistant Licensure as a Physician Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician's Assistants. State of GA licensure as a PA is required or Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current GA License for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing with in hospital experience.
