Phone Triage Nurse:&RN OR LPN Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse program with current GA RN license, or Graduate from accredited LPN program with current GA LPN license. At least 3 years experience
- acute care experience preferred; w/significant Phone Triage responsibilities to assist in a fast-paced, well-established and very busy Internal Medicine practice, located on the main campus of Piedmont Hospital. Performs a variety of patient communication activities in accordance with established standards and practices. Primary focus will be Phone Triage; may also require call-backs to patients, pharmacies and providing information on lab results. Triages incoming telephone calls; responds to questions regarding medications and treatment instruction; coordinates telephone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician's directions and protocols. Records and reports patient condition; advises physician of any patient adverse reactions to drugs and/or treatments. Provides patient education and teaching; answers questions regarding diagnostic testing and treatment. Must have exemplary customer service, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and a professional demeanor. Clear speaking voice. Must be a team player and pay attention to details. Ability to multi-task is a must. Must be computer literate; familiarity with NextGen and Logician EMR a huge plus.
