Program Reinforces Fast-Growth Company’s Continued Commitment to Employee Development; ASU Selected for Strong Reputation and Unique Program Offerings

PHOENIX, AZ – January 18, 2007 – Jobing.com, a leading Arizona media provider of locally-focused recruiting, online job search and talent management solutions designed to connect local employers and job seekers, announced today that it has selected the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University to deliver a custom-designed 22-month MBA program for company employees. 

The program, which begins this month, enables Jobing.com employees to continue a regular work schedule while earning their MBAs. The company’s aim is to develop leaders from employee ranks by enabling and supporting academic and career achievement. The company expects the transfer of knowledge to significantly contribute to Jobing.com’s financial and expansion goals as employees immediately apply their new skills at work. Program tuition and all related costs are paid for by Jobing.com.
 
Thirty-four employees have been accepted into the new program’s first class – one third from the Phoenix area, and the rest from other Jobing.com locations around the U.S. Courses will be delivered with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online courses and four on-campus sessions. Students attending from outside the Phoenix metro area will participate in the sessions streamed in real time with the aid of webcams and microphone headsets. The company partnered with the Ken Blanchard College of Business at Grand Canyon University for its initial MBA program in March 2005. The twelve employees in that program are scheduled to complete their studies in 2007. Jobing.com is continuing its relationship with the Ken Blanchard School for its Bachelor’s Degree program.

The W. P. Carey School worked closely with Jobing.com executives to develop the custom-designed MBA program with an emphasis on an information systems and services curriculum that meets the company’s specific needs. Among the specially developed course work is a module on pricing services that focuses on tactical and operational aspects that students can immediately apply in the workplace.

Carey School. “We wanted students from various Jobing.com locations across the country to develop a real learning community, so, to facilitate that, we’ve included weekly synchronous sessions and residential sessions on campus.”
