WHAT:  More than 300 Valley-area businesses from a variety of industries will court potential job candidates at the Jobing.com Career Expo; the free event is expected to draw some 5,000 - 7,000 local job seekers, making it the largest job fair the country has ever seen.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 16, Noon - 5 p.m. 

WHERE: University of Phoenix Stadium, One Cardinals Drive, Glendale, AZ

BACKGROUND:

Jobing.com offers these important tips to help job seekers make the most of this opportunity:

• Research the organizations you are interested in before the event. 
  
• Dress professionally - as if this were your personal interview time.
  
• Create a 30-second "this is why you should hire me" mental commercial and be enthusiastic and confident.
  
• Bring plenty of resumes to hand out to employers - be sure to proofread and ensure your resume is error-free.  Resume review services are available at no charge during the Career Expo.
  
• Follow up with the employer after the event, within 48 hours - let them know you are serious about their job.
