Our 31-bed unit provides progressive & appropriate post-operative care to the surgical patient in order to avoid post-operative complications and to reduce the hospital lengths of stay. Special equipment used in the department include Pulse Oximeter, Dinamap, IV pumps, PCA pumps, specialty beds, plexi pulses, feeding pumps, ARJO lifting equipment. The patient population on the unit include 23-hour observations, short stay surgeries, general surgery, total joint replacement, fractures and minor trauma patients. RN's administer medications accurately according to policy. Completes admission and shift patient assessments. Plans and carries out patient care. Assists physicians with examinations and special procedures.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current State of Georgia Registered Nurse License. Current ACLS preferred. Minimum 2 years recent Ortho/Med Surg experience preferred.
