Complete Description:

Bachelor's Degree in related field and at least five years' medical office/practice management experience with supervisory responsibilities. Supports the overall day-to-day administrative and clinical activities of a busy 2 physician primary care located on Cascade Road. Maintains an effective operating environment which assures effective, efficient and safe operations of the practice that responds to patient, physician and staff needs. Acts as liaison between physicians and office employees to resolve conflicts and to promote cohesiveness in the practice, serves as liaison between the practice and other clinical and administrative components of the Piedmont Medical Care Corp. (PMCC) Ensures that the practice follows PMCC and office policies and procedures, adheres to and enforces JCAHO and OSHA standards relating to the physician office practice of medicine. Monitors the submission of timely, accurate and complete billing information to the business office to ensure the maximization of professional services reimbursement, researches disallowance reports for unusual reimbursement practices, stays up-to-date on coding and insurance practices as necessary and interacts with the Central Business Office to update, change or delete codes and charges when determined to be ineffective, unprofitable and/or obsolete. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must possess full knowledge of JCAHO, HIPAA, OSHA and other applicable regulatory agency and legal requirements necessary for medical practice management. Computer literacy required; experience with NextGen and/or EMR preferred.
