Job: Network/Systems Administrator

Join a team that designs, installs and maintains the IT services for a rapidly growing contact center (RYLA, Inc.). RYLA’s network is designed as a true AVVID solution utilizing technologies from Avaya, Aspect, Microsoft, Cisco, Symantec and Tandberg. This architecture provides a flexible framework, which allows us to support over 2000 contact center agents in a WAN/LAN environment. You will be part of the IT Network Team, which is responsible for the overall health of the network, server deployment, security, ensuring network connectivity throughout RYLA's LAN/WAN infrastructure, and all other technical considerations at the network level of our technical hierarchy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the maintenance of both the LAN and the WAN

Participate in the design and deployment of data and voice network architectures.

Assists in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment

Manages LAN security and monitors network performance

Administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network, directory services, servers, and applications

Manages the deployment of appropriate security patches, hot fixes, and software updates

Performs network backup according to a regular schedule

Manages licenses for all network infrastructure related software

Participates in the development of policies, procedures, and resource that standardize the functioning of the network

Keeps up-to-date documentation of applications, systems, and network equipment

Enforces standards and educates employees about compliance issues

Demonstrate ability quickly analyze and resolve enterprise issues.

Provide on-call support for AVVID infrastructure in a rotating schedule (1 in 3)

Communicate to non-technical constituents, both internal and external regarding projects and issues.

Provide knowledge transfer to Junior members of the team

Ability to manage multiple priorities and time.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

MCSE & CCNP or greater certifications preferred

8+ years background operating in a Windows/Cisco infrastructure.

8+ years experiencing with server technologies:

Dell servers

HP servers

Tape Libraries and Backup exec

SAN Storage Solutions

5+ years experience with Network Equipment and protocols:

Cisco Routers

Catalyst Switches

ASA/PIX firewalls appliances

TCP/IP

BGP

IPSEC

EIGRP

Multicast

QOS

Trunking and VLANs

Spanning-tree

VOIP (SIP, H.323)

SNMP

6+ years experience with the following software:

Active Directory Services (DFS/Group policy)

Share Point Services

SQL Server

Project Server

Exchange

DNS

BlackBerry Enterprise Services

Microsoft DFS

Altiris CMS

Unix services (Linux/Solaris)

Security and compliance experience a plus.
