Complete Description:

Assisting the Director in the management of a specific service line. Assumes 24-hour accountability for coordinating the daily clinical activities of a specific service line. These accountabilities include: staffing responsibilities; scheduling, personnel selection, development/orientation, counseling; patient care delivery; physician relationships; performance improvement activities; and fiscal accountability. In the absence of the Director, may assume responsibility for Directors functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Is a graduate of a school of nursing with current licensure in the state of Georgia; maintains certification for specialty areas. Minimum of three years nursing experience in clinical practice of appropriate services; two years management experience preferred. Knowledge of current nursing trends, clinical practice, legal issues, and technology for specialty areas of nursing is required.
