Complete Description:

LPN with successful completion of an accredited practical nurse program with current GA LPN license OR Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma. Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties in support of one physician in a very busy Internal Medicine group medical practice located on the main campus of Piedmont Hospital. Must have a minimum of 5 years back office experience in primary care with a very strong clinical background required; including phone triage experience. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of a physician by performing the following clinical duties: Rooms patients. Patient history, vitals, phlebotomy, spirometry, and EKGs. Cleans, stocks and preps exam rooms. Will also require call-backs to patients, providing information on lab results, and phone triage for incoming calls; responds to questions regarding medications and treatment instruction; coordinates telephone requests to refill prescriptions in accordance with physician's directions and protocols. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Must be a strong team player, have a good work ethic, pay attention to details and have the ability to multi-task. Computer literacy required. Familiarity with NextGen and/or EMR a huge plus.
