Lead Teams of Java Developers!

Great immediate opportunity for a hands-on Java Development Team Lead to oversee Java/J2EE development efforts and manage teams of 4-12 Developers. This position calls for 30-40% hands-on work and 60-70% management. Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation. Ensure the project code generated during deployment is not only accepted by customer support but also could be improved. Interact with the Solutions Architecture Group to ensure uniform testing standards are implemented across multiple field service projects. Test scope to include unit, pair wise, quality assurance, end-to-end, and user acceptance. Work with Professional Services Management to provide task level estimation for large scale enterprise projects. Review work of development team. Create and execute development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Ensure team's contribution to the code library. Own the development life cycle and manage technical risks throughout the project. Communicate and enforce coding standards and perform code reviews. Mentor Junior Developers. This position is open for Atlanta-based candidates who are open to travel up to 75% as needed including international travel.

Required Experience
* Engineering Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
* Masters degree a plus
* Senior-level Consultant with 5-10+ years of overall experience
* Proven track record of technical leadership on projects
* Experience with HTML, ASP, JSP, Web Services programming skills required
* 4+ years of Java development experience
* Expertise with J2EE Middleware (highly prefer BEA WebLogic or IBM WebSphere) design and development within a J2EE framework
* Understand OO concepts and consistently apply them in client engagements
* Understand the benefits of the various programming languages
* Possess significant knowledge of client/server and Internet systems architectures
* Understand browser/client specific compatibility issues
