Senior Level Oracle DBA for Production Work on a Global Database!

An Atlanta-based leader is seeking a Senior level Oracle DBA for 3 month plus project. This position will have significant emphasis on capacity planning, systems performance monitoring, design, and implementation of distributed systems database technology and will be utilized as a senior level technical escalation point for reviewing the work of other less experienced technical personnel. Experienced Oracle DBA with sills in OLTP, RAC and VLDB (very large database). Oracle 11G on Solaris is the key. This is a high volume production-oriented DBA role. Work on the latest technology - immediate need!

Required Experience
* Minimum of 8 years general oracle database administration experience
* Minimum of 1 year experience as an ORACLE DBA for ORACLE RAC 11G in a SUN Solaris environment
* Oracle RAC 10G and 11G database administration
* Administration of a live 10 and 11G RAC production database
* Extensive experience in Oracle 11G Performance tuning at the instance level and application level Must have experience with Sun OS level commands to diagnose system issues
* Extensive experience with Oracle performance tuning for a RAC Very Large OLTP database over 1 TB in size
* Experience with Oracle Very Large Databases (VLDB) of at least 1TB or more
* Extensive experience in RAC Oracle Database performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution
* Solid understanding and experience of Oracle Partitioning in 10 and 11G
* Strong UNIX skills and shell scripting and ORACLE tools (SQL*Loader, export, import)
* Experience working with developers
* Experience using Erwin to generate DDL
* Experience with implementing Oracle security features such as encryption and VPD- virtual private database is a plus
* Must be self motivated and able to multitask in a team environment
* Must be able and willing to document all procedures and share with the team
