Client just north of Atlanta looking for an Oracle Application DBA. Immediately, you will be responsible for the analysis and design of the databases and Oracle specific architecture needed to support an Oracle Implementation. Will play a lead role in the infrastructure team that includes hardware, system software, and networking. The role of the Application DBA will include the following tasks: Design the architecture for the system development environments and instances; take a lead role on the team tasked with procuring hardware, system software, and data center co-location space and take a lead role on the team tasked with developing an approach to security, disaster recovery, and failover. You will also define and develop database backup and recovery strategies. Additional responsibilities include database administration and tuning and installing the Oracle software in all environments. Work with Functional and Technical teams to incorporate functional changes in the system. Work with the technical teams to install patches and upgrades. Install, upgrade, and apply patches for RDBMS and Oracle ERP Applications. Perform recovery of the database, data files, tables, indexes, etc. Implement security for user groups at the database level, Review scripts and modify, if necessary, for customer standards.

* BS/BA in Business, Computer Science, or related degree

* At least 7 years experience with Oracle database and ERP implementation or upgrade projects
* Demonstrated success in providing leadership, coordination, and integration of development efforts
