Description

Saint Joseph's facility is Atlanta's oldest hospital. Today, the 410-bed, acute-care facility is recognized as one of the top specialty-referral hospitals in the Southeast. Saint Joseph's has received numerous awards including the distinguished Magnet Recognition for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses Association Credentialing Center a designation of best in Georgia and top five percent in the nation for cardiac and vascular programs.

The Physician Network Specialist serves as a liaison between Saint Joseph Hospital and physicians in the surrounding counties as well as spanning over the state line representing the Saint Joseph's Heart and Vascular Institute. This individual is responsible for actively participating in the achievement of the strategic development goals of the HVI and enhancing the network of referrals as well as assisting in the recruitment of additional HVI physicians. As a member of the Business Development outreach team, this person actively engages with the staff of the entire department to maintain substantive and comprehensive communication with both the outreach team and on campus team of physician representatives. HVI administration and the CME administrator. This position will be responsible for the facilitation and achievement of the Saint Joseph's HVI development and sales Initiatives. Including the development and implementation of a network development plan the outreach efforts required by the strategic plan and network development plan assessing data for sales, network development and decision making, and assisting with educational activities for physicians related to the HVI. Additional activities will include: program administration and project and administrative support to enhance medical staff development while maintaining the goals of the HVI and business development department. This individual must exhibit keen strategic thinking abilities as related to healthcare administration, demonstrates conceptual assessment skills, displays self-directed work style, an innate ability to establish new and maintain existing relationships with community physicians, and demonstrates enhanced problem-solving techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in healthcare or business administration, or equivalent. Three years job related experience in sales techniques or business development, preferably in a medical setting. Proven track record with sales techniques in the healthcare/medical community. The individual shall possess, analytic skills, interpersonal, and time-management skills, organizational skills and a working knowledge of trends in cardiovascular disease. Willingness to travel including some overnight stays . Strong database skills with proficiency in computer software programs, i.e., Microsoft Word, and Excel. This individual must exhibit keen strategic thinking abilities as related to healthcare administration, demonstrates conceptual assessment skills, displays self-directed work style, an innate ability to establish new and maintain existing relationships with community physicians, and demonstrates enhanced problem-solving techniques. This individual must maintain the highest customer service standards, as measured by high productivity and consistent high quality that addresses the needs of the community physicians. Demonstrates poise and maturity when encountering unforeseen situations this customer services standard must show a visibility of and responsibility toward patients and their families, the Medical staff, and member of the outreach team. Has proven success building relationships within the medical community.
