ALL JOBS/PROFESSIONAL Location Saint Joseph's Translational Rsrch Inst Work Status Full Time Research Fellow - FT Description Full-Time Position. Shift - Days. Location: SJTRI - Ga. Tech Campus, downtown Atlanta. PRC01523 The Research Fellow acts as an associate Study Director in collaboration with a SJRI Senior Scientist and conducts experiments or investigations in the life sciences including, but not limited to, basic and applied cardiovascular physiology, cell biology, molecular biology, tissue engineering, electrophysiology, and surgery, including cardio-thoracic and vascular surgery. The ideal candidate will have a Medical doctoral degree from accredited medical school or university. Immediately post Fellowship, e.g. Cardiology or Surgical, or with 1 to 2 years post Fellowship clinical or equivalent medical/surgical training experience PGY 8 to 10 . Has had some exposure to preclinical or clinical research, primarily as a student, resident or fellow. Understands the basic principles, but is not familiar with regulations or how to properly structure a preclinical or clinical study. Ability to help analyze data, determine facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common findings in scientific and medical journals. Ability to effectively present information to other post-doctoral fellows as well as members of the research organization. Ability to collaborate on novel research ideas, concepts or methods related to the life sciences. Ability to collaborate on the design, writing and execution of experimental protocols and collection of data. This job posting is no longer available on Jobing.com.
