The Environmental Services (EVS) Floor Technician responsibilities include a variety of floor/carpet cleaning duties and tasks in order to maintain sanitation, cleanliness and appearance in inpatient and outpatient areas throughout the hospital compliant with all regulatory standards while maintaining safety precautions. Minimum one year of work experience as a custodian, janitor or housekeeper which includes skills in shampooing and extracting carpets and stripping and finishing floors. Customer service skills with good communication skills. Able to follow instructions and interact positively with people. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to push, pull and lift weight up to 50 pounds. Must be able to endure prolonged, extensive and considerable standing, walking, stooping and reaching. Must be fluent in English
- speaking, reading and writing (must exhibit legible penmanship). Must possess normal to near normal vision, hearing and manual dexterity.
