Complete Description:
Cleans and sanitizes rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital. Cleans assigned ancillary and patient care areas as scheduled according to department policy and procedure that will maintain quality standards as evidenced by no more than 3 complaints annually. Cleans vacant, non-vacant patient rooms, furniture, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions, scours and polishes sink, tubs, toilet, mirrors, sitz bath and showers. Cleans bed frames, rails and mattresses. Dust mops, wet mops and vacuums all floors daily and as needed in the assigned work areas according to department policy and procedures to maintain the floors in a clean and attractive manner. High dusts ledges, vents, televisions, blinds, drapes and cubicle curtains according to department policy and procedures to maintain a clean and attractive environment. Replenishes on a daily basis: soap, paper towels, toilet tissue and urine blocks according to department policy and procedures. Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including equipment and carts, in order to be more organized and efficient as evidenced by Supervisor observation. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
