RESPONSIBLE FOR: Collecting blood specimens on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in a timely manner as requested by the medical staff. Teaching other Piedmont employees the correct procedures for collecting blood specimens. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Must possess basic phlebotomy skills and have a working knowledge of clinical laboratory and tests performed. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to make independent judgement and use initiative. Ability to maintain accuracy and alertness in a busy setting. (Prefer 5 years of solid phlebotomy experience in a high volume hospital/facility).
