Overview:
To render professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of the patients.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.Directs and guides patient teaching, activities of Patient Care Tech & ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.Organizes time, supplies, and equipment efficiently and effectively.Participates in professional organizations and activities which promote growth and development.Assist with Epidural placement

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.Current Georgia license to practice as a registered nurse.Minimum of 3 years L & D/APU experiencePrevious experience at a Level III facility (preferably non-teaching) mandatoryCurrent BLS, NPR, ACLS certificationsAdvance or Intermediate Fetal Monitor Course within the last 2 yearsCertification in Inpatient Obstetrics and/or Electronic Fetal monitoring Preferred but not requiredPACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Surgical patient recovery experience& nbsp; Initial Newborn Care (Apgar scoring/medication)Circulate Surgical CasesSterile vaginal ExamsPlacement of Internal Scalp ElectrodeIV Therapy (phlebotomy)Antepartum/High Risk Intrapartum
