This position is located in East Ellijay at the new Outpatient Diagnostic Center North Georgia Mountains 90 miles from Atlanta.

The Environmental Service (EVS) Technician I responsibilities include: vacuums carpets/mats, cleans inpatient/outpatient areas, cleans rooms following patient discharges, maintains equipment and appropriate storage, adheres to chemical usage procedures, cleans staff and public restrooms, deep cleans surgical areas and monitors and inspects equipment daily. All tasks shall be performed in a competent, high quality, timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with departmental procedures or protocols. Quality is defined as correct, accurate, thorough and age-appropriate. Will perform on-job training and must demonstrate ability to perform job. Other performance measures and/or expansion of the above also apply in included below.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum one year of work experience in healthcare Environmental Services which includes skills in cleaning buildings, janitor, maid, housekeeping, custodian, change bed linens, and customer service. Good communication skills. Able to follow instructions and interact positively with people. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to push, pull and lift weight up to 50 pounds. Must be able to endure prolonged, extensive and considerable standing, walking, stooping and reaching. Must be fluent in English
- speaking, reading and writing (must exhibit legible penmanship). Must possess normal to near normal vision, hearing and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have High School Diploma or G.E.D.
