Complete Description:

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with at least 3 years of internal medicine back office experience with a strong clinical background to support one physician in a busy Family Practice located in Atlantic Station. Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties in accordance with established standards and practices. Performs a variety of patient communication activities. Primary focus will be phone/office triage; may also require call-backs to patients, pharmacies and providing information on lab results. Triages incoming telephone calls; responds to questions regarding medications and treatment instruction; coordinates telephone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician's directions and protocols. Also assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician by performing the following clinical duties: Rooms patients. Patient history, vitals, injections, EKGs, holter monitors and venipuncture. Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and professional demeanor. Clear speaking voice. Must be a team player and pay attention to details and have the ability to multi-task. Must be computer literate. Familiarity with NextGen and EMR a plus.
