CLA, THE Career-Building Firm, is recruiting a Consultant Relationship Director with experience sourcing consultants for engagements, managing consultant relationships, and coaching consultants to join our Consulting and Accounting and Solutions team (CAST) practices in the Atlanta office!
The CAST Consultant Relationship Director assists with sourcing engagements, consultant relationships, and coaching. S/he serves as the front line contact for consultants in the field to trouble-shoot client issues, schedule issues or team dynamics. Confirms skill levels as they apply to engagement needs and coaches consultants through challenging engagements.
Work Activities and Accountabilities
Consultant Administration: S/he works with the consultant team in order to retain current consultants, maximize utilization of current consultants and serve as the focal point for the sourcing/scheduling process. Analyzes consultant skill sets and schedules to determine consultant options for proposed plans. Duties to support the consultant management include creating consultant bios, preparing proposal summary comments for each proposed consultant and participating in proposal review. S/he helps promote a strong CLA culture and promotes consultant satisfaction/retention via the CLA promise. S/he serves as a Consultant Advocate (coach) for consultants. S/he prepares consultants to start the engagements by sending background information on the project to the consultants; oversees the weekly status report process, and approves consultant time and expenses.
Engages in special projects and analysis such as consultant skill levels, turnover, or other analysis. S/he coordinates consultant gatherings locally. Maintains the consultant expertise grids. Responsible for drafting base professional bios along with updating bios with recent CAST experience. Builds market relationships with consultants. Problem solves and resolves issues with team members. Pays close attention to new prospect opportunities by being in tune with what’s going on in the market with consultants. Social media management and branding related to consultants.
Recruiting/Onboarding Administration: Assists with candidate sourcing, participates in candidate interview and selection efforts. S/he assists with determining the relevant consultant skill sets needed to support current market requirements, and works closely with the recruiting team to prioritize specific job postings. S/he is responsible for giving input to the timing of onboarding new consultants, in order to maximize current consultant utilization.
This position requires infrequent local travel and may require occasional non-local or overnight travel for consultant visits, training, meetings and/or other business-related purposes.
Experience, Education, and Certification Requirements
Experience: 8 years of work experience, professional services or client service delivery preferred. Consulting industry experience with some recruiting experience. Focus in Finance, Accounting, and/or Audit.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
Certification/ Licenses: CPA or MBA preferred.
