The Northeast Health District is seeking a qualified individual to head the District WIC program as Nutrition Services Director.
 
The Nutrition Services Director will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of quality WIC services consistent with USDA and State requirements, will supervise and train nutritionists and other WIC staff, and will provide nutrition consultation to clinic staff and to other professionals to assist them with improving health outcomes and prevention of disease onset in clinics they serve. Other duties will include budget oversight, state reporting requirements, coordination of programmatic audits, and responsibility for training and continuing education to meet program requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Plans and directs the overall operation of a nutrition program. Establishes and implements policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates the program for compliance with established guidelines. Directs subordinate managers and staff.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food & nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program AND Three year's experience, One year of which was in management/supervisory capacity AND Registration as a Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission AND Licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia OR Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food & nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program AND Five years nutrition experience, Two years of which were in management/supervisory capacity AND Registration as a Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission AND Licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
