Job Description

Team Lead - Assisted Donation Center

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? You have the opportunity to become part of our Donation Centers Management Team. It will prepare you to become a leader in a critical part of our operations. Our assisted donation centers are where members of the community can drop off their donations for Goodwill.

What we’re looking for:

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • A valid drivers license
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft products and general math skills
  • Dependable transportation and communication devices

A flexible schedule is required, including nights, weekends and holidays. You may work in all types of conditions including heat, cold and dust, and you will physically process (both loading and unloading) donated items with or without accommodations.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Team Lead, you are the face of Goodwill, so we look to you to provide exceptional CUSTOMER SERVICE to our donors. You will be responsible for leading and assisting the Donor Specialists in collecting, sorting, and processing donations from the community. You will also greet and assist our donors and resolve any issues a customer might have.

Training and developing your Donor Specialist team will play a big part in your success. You will be responsible for providing feedback to your ADC Manager on the development of your Donor Specialist team on a monthly basis, and you’ll assist them in their efforts to achieve all of their monthly goals. You’ll attend regular supervisor meetings and we offer leadership development classes.

One of your most important responsibilities is to ensure the safety of your staff and the security of all company assets and donations. Collecting those donations is the key to our success as a company.

Next Step:

If approved by your Manager and Director, you will be invited to participate in the Managers/Team Lead Hiring Event and take part in a panel interview. If you pass the interview, you will then proceed to start at your assigned location.
