Job Description


Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with underwriters, production team and borrowers for collection of loan due diligence materials
  • Review and general and specific data into Greystone’s loan origination system, Closer (a web-based system that incorporates the use of Excel workbooks).
  • Analyze rent roll and operating history data and spread / enter into the financial analysis spreadsheets that are uploaded into Closer
  • Communicate with production team and borrowers to facilitate collection of required application exhibits
  • Enter basic third party report data (appraisals, physical condition assessment reports, and into the Closer system
  • Inspect properties and prepare inspection reports (training provided by Greystone)
  • Business travel that can include driving and/or flying, with possible overnight stays, as may be appropriate
  • Assist the Underwriter and team in the coordination of all required and necessary inter-company departments, including the closing and underwriting departments
  • Complete and/or assist the Underwriters in the completion of applicable Agency forms for submission
  • Other duties and projects, as may be assigned and deemed appropriate from the manager


Experience, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Recent college graduate (0-2 years of experience)
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
  • A strong interest in real estate, lending and financial analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet search engines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with management, staff, and outside contacts; strong “customer service” communication skills for engaging individuals both internally and externally
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving
  • Ability to conduct research and verify data and facts quickly
  • Research and compile information for the purpose of successfully recommending product and/or services marketing opportunities
  • Present a professional, courteous image when interacting with team members, co-workers, management, and outside contacts
  • Creative thinker that enjoys the challenge of being a member of a fast-paced and dynamic team
