Jacobs Engineering Group Inc – Midtown Atlanta Water Resources Group is seeking to hire a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in our global headquarters in the Atlanta, GA office to support our stormwater conveyance, green infrastructure, civil / site, and stream restoration projects throughout the Southeast. Work at this level requires the ability to work in a team, collaborative, and fast paced environment. Typical work assignments may include storm drainage analysis and design, cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design, erosion control design, quantity takeoff and cost estimate development, preparation of technical reports and memorandum, and preparation of construction plans, estimates, and specifications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work in a collaborative team environment with other engineers and scientists.
•Conduct drainage analysis and design per the requirements of the project and various transportation public agencies such as GDOT.
•Lead the efforts in the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates.
•Prepare projects specific drainage / hydraulic reports and technical memorandum.
•Provide hydraulic analysis for cross drainage structures and incorporate the results in the design with other disciplines (roadway and bridge).
•Serves as a liaison between the Design Lead(s), Project Manager(s) and other project(s) staff members.
