Jacobs is seeking a Lead Design Engineer in our Atlanta, GA and Little Rock, AR offices with a comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application. Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead responsibility for technical direction of a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity
  • Responsible for leading and overseeing multiple projects and staff members
  • Coordinating with other disciplines to include: bridge, environmental, survey, and traffic
  • Demonstrating time management skills.
  • Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer: 
  • Participating in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
  • Performing all aspects of engineering and design. Works under minimal supervision. Will provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel
  • Performing quality control.
  • Performing design calculations.
  • Performing drainage and MS4 design.
  • Reporting to project manager.
  • Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

Jacobs is seeking for out Atlanta office a Senior Highway Design Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application. Responsibilities will include:

•A minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience
•BS or MS in Civil Engineering
•Georgia PE registration is preferred
•GDOT experience preferred
•Proficiency with InRoads, OpenRoads MicroStation, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project required.
•Ability to work in team environment
