Job Description

The Finance Manager leads financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis in support of the Americas Research & Development group. Analyzes financial information and prepares multidimensional financial reports to support financial and operational management of the business. Reviews and monitors accuracy of data and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Assists in completion of month-end duties. Participates in establishing and maintaining processes to support business requirements, and reporting accuracy.

Primary Statement of Duties

  • Creates and maintains detailed outlook and budget documentation
  • Creates and maintains detailed project reporting to provide investment transparency and analysis
  • Compiles, reviews, and conducts departmental and project Profit & Loss (P&L) variance analysis
  • Follows up and manages the resolution of associated findings and issues
  • Prepares, reviews, and coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial related reporting by department, product, and/or project for financial and operational management
  • Reviews transactional data to ensure it is accurate, complete, and in adherence to company guidelines
  • Assists in the development and use of common financial models and tools as requested
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
  • Interacts with individuals at multiple levels of the organization, including upper level management
  • Assists in accurate set up of master data for projects
  • Validation of project reporting data in multiple systems
  • Utilizes multiple reporting/financial systems to load, pull, and analyze data
Required Skills
  • Strong technical accounting proficiency
  • Project Accounting experience desired
  • Organization skills and attention to detail are critical
  • Must have strong ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to collaborate with administrative team
  • Must ensure reporting deadlines are met
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office (Excel Proficiency is Critical)
  • Experience or familiarity with TM1, Tableau, SAP, SAP BW, or other financial systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Required Experience

A minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required in the field of accounting, finance, etc
At least 5-7 years of related experience required.
