The warehouse manager reports to the Vice President of Construction and is responsible for supervising the truck drivers, receiving and organizing shipments into our warehouse.  Coordinating delivery schedules to ensure that deliveries are made as needed.  Responsible for organizing and tracking tools and gang boxes and delivering to the job sites as needed.  Coordinating with Project Managers and coordinators to ensure deliveries are made.

Supervising truck drivers daily schedules.

Keeping truck drivers in compliance with USDOT regulations.

Organizing materials received in our warehouse.

Organizing and tracking all company tools.

Tool inspection and certification.

Coordinate tool repair and replacement.

Coordinate with Project Coordinators, Foremen and Project Managers regarding deliveries and orders.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.

Maintain forklift and ensure use is in compliance with OSHA regulations.

Assist in other functions, if time allows.

Inspect and keep up maintenance of fleet vehicles.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has supervisory responsibilities over two drivers and one warehouse worker.

Work Environment This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, fork lifts, ladders, box cutters and tape dispensers. 

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, Eight hours a day, typically 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Travel Travel to designated construction sites or material suppliers in the Metro Atlanta area will be an occasional part of this position.  

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

Valid Georgia driver's license, CDL, Class C.

Clean MVR.

Extremely reliable.

Excellent attendance record.

Computer Skills.

Detail oriented.

Additional Preferred Eligibility Qualifications 

Experience in the material management industry.

Three years of experience as a commercial driver for a construction company

Fork lift certification and experience. 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and participate in a drug free workplace.
