The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and DevelopmentalDisabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HealthAid/Part-Time at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located inDecatur, GA.


Thisis an hourly, part-time positions with no benefits.

 
Job Description:

Provide basic patientcare and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills May takevital signs.

 

JobResponsibilities & Performance Standards:

Answers clients callsignals

Assists inadministration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs

Bathes, grooms, shavesand dresses clients

Conducts activities forrecreation and socialization

Ensures safety andsecurity of clients

Feeds clients who areunable to feed themselves

Observes and documentspatient data, behavior and activity

Prepares clients fortreatment or examination

Provides client care bysupplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exerciseroutines

Provides clients withhelp walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed

Transports and/oraccompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher

Turns and re-positionsbedridden clients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores.

Qualifications

Six months experience inmental health or medical experience

Valid driver's license

For some Health Aide positions, experience working in the correctionalsystem/recent military service may be helpful
