Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing guidance for the Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale Immunization Program. Performs immunization certificate compliance audits for day care, public and private schools using the CDC Immunization Schedules per program guidelines. Works with the District Public Health Programs to provide support and education. Works with the community to promote, educate and support immunization activities. Serves as the back-up coordinator to the Immunization Unit in the absence of the Coordinator.


                                    Copy of Official College Transcript must be submitted with application.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with using the Immunization Schedule for infants, children and adults and using GRITS. One year as a Registered Nurse. One year of Public Health or equivalent nursing experience.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
