Under the general supervision of the Director of Perioperative Services and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Scrub Tech is responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competence. Resurgens Fayette is a single-specialty surgery center with expert practice in orthopedic surgeries and some of the best surgical outcomes in South Atlanta. We are seeking to add this clinical professional on a FT basis.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and the risk of radiation. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
In addition to making sure anyone entering the surgical area has "scrubbed," surgical technologists or scrub techs must make sure that all the instruments they will be using are, too. Scrub techs also have the responsibility to make sure that all the equipment and tools the surgical staff are using are clean and safe, so that there's no harm to the patient. Surgical technologists must confirm that all the instruments are collected and sterilized after surgery, and that the operating room is cleaned and totally disinfected for the next procedure
