The Scientific Games Corporate PMO team is responsible for managing corporate projects delivered by the following corporate departments: IT (Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Infrastructure, Facilities support, Applications), Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Communications, Corporate Security and Corporate Finance. We are looking for a full-time Advanced Project Manager to lead the delivery of these projects.
Essential Job Functions:
The Corporate PMO Advanced Project Manager is responsible for leading the project team in delivering Scientific Games’ corporate projects. Project management responsibilities include:
• Developing and managing to industry standard project management procedures that govern our project activities
• Maintaining the appropriate balance of scope, quality, schedule and cost across programs and projects
• Developing and maintaining overall program and project implementation plans
• Monitoring program financials to ensure that work is progressing according to budget
• Communicating an objective assessment of project status on a weekly basis, using metrics when available
• Documenting and managing Risks, Actions/Issues and Decisions within the projects and initiating any required follow-up activities
• Ensuring sign-off from stakeholders on key milestones
• Identifying areas where project team is blocked, facilitating targeted problem solving and next steps for the team to proceed
• Ensuring that team resources are being deployed as efficiently as possible by following consistent processes that allow us to minimize rework
• Clarifying priorities to ensure that work is completed in the appropriate sequence

Position Requirements

Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, Science or Technology
Preferred: Masters degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Technology or Business

Required Experience:
- Minimum 10-12 years of project management experience
- Experience leading project teams in a matrix organization
- Experience leading software development or system implementations (e.g., new applications, ERP initiatives)
-Experience with IT project management

Preferred Experience:
-Experience leading projects requiring data collection, data cleansing and data conversion
-Experience managing project financials (budget, forecast, actual spend) with an understanding of capital vs expense spending
-Experience working in a regulated industry
-Experience managing projects associated with mergers and acquisitions
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Extensive attention to detail – ability to define and monitor detailed project deliverables, risks, issues and action items and work with team to drive them to completion
- Strong communication skills – ability to effectively lead meetings and communicate project status/issues to management
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent time management skills with a willingness to manage various types of projects concurrently
- PMP certification or willingness to achieve in the first 18 months

Physical Requirements: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
